Adding CAPTCHA validation to BlogEngine.Net
A few months after starting my blog, I found myself having to deal with an increasing number of spam comments. I decided you try to reduce the amount of spam comments and did a bit of googling on the subject.
After a while I came across a blog post by Michael Ceranski called How to Block Spam Comments in BlogEngine.NET. It contained a step-by-step guide for adding a captcha validation to BlogEngine.net.
Following Michaels guide, I’ve added captcha to my blog and are eager to see (or rather NOT see?) the result. Hopefully this will keep my blog safe from anything, short of a monkey with a typewriter :-)
If you use BlogEngine.NET, you should definitely have a look at Michaels post.
Just opgraded to BlogEngine.NET 1.6
Time goes by and before I know it, February has passed by without a single blog post.
Shame on me! :-)
Just got a chance to upgrade my blog, which is running on BlogEngine.NET, to version 1.6. The new version has some very nice new features. I’m particularly excites about the new Automated Comment Spam Filtering and the improvements made to the blog administration.
I found the upgrade instructions to be somewhat lagging, but luckily I found an easy-to-follow guide on David Wynne’s blog.
